US and African Experts Offer Analysis and Critique of Bush Trip to Africa

Leaders from advocacy organizations in the U.S and in Africa hosted a joint audio press conference on Monday, February 11, 2007, to review the key policy issues that will be addressed by President Bush on his final trip to the African continent, and discuss concerns regarding President Bush's legacy as it relates to Africa. Topics covered included the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), trade and the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act, debt cancellation, and the impact of the Bush presidency on Africa.
